Capillary on-line viscosity measurement system

Measurement principle:

An incompressible melt fluid undergoes steady laminar flow in a horizontal tube, with the measurement section far from the inlet and outlet, and the flow being one-dimensional along the axis.

By simplifying the continuity and Navier-Stokes equations in cylindrical coordinates, it is shown that for a capillary viscometer with a fixed length and diameter, the viscosity can be determined by measuring the pressure drop and volumetric flow rate using a simplified formula.
